The request details, messages, original images, previews, completed files and private links are deleted automatically. If you separately consented to a Gallery item, only the separate Gallery copies are retained. A lightweight cleanup record keeps the request reference, project/service, status, dates and deletion totals but not your IP address, photographs, messages or editing instructions. Separately, only the previously verified email address and verification/use dates are retained as a returning-customer record so the same address can skip verification next time.

No telephone number and no card details
The request form does not ask for a mobile or telephone number. When optional priority is enabled, payment is completed on Stripe’s hosted Checkout page. This website does not receive or store your full card number, security code or bank login.

Stores the website, database and protected image files.

Receives the connecting IP address to estimate location and detect VPN, proxy or Tor use for anti-abuse screening. Country is informational and does not restrict requests.
Processes an optional priority payment and returns payment status and transaction identifiers.
When you expressly opt in to the public gallery, separate before and after copies are stored on this website and privacy-edited through the administrator’s browser. They are not sent to a paid face-blur provider.

Providers operate under their own legal and security responsibilities, but information is shared only for the technical purpose required.
Website visitor statistics
First-party traffic information
Public website visits may be recorded in the website’s own database to understand which pages are useful and where visitors arrived from. The record can include the time of the visit, public page viewed or requested, referring website, campaign tags, IP address according to the configured privacy mode, country information supplied by the host or CDN, browser, operating system and device category.
Normal visitor activity is reported separately from recognised automated crawlers and common security-probe requests, such as attempts to request WordPress files that do not exist on this website. Private customer status, download, review invitation, chat, media and administration pages are excluded. The statistics feature does not add an external analytics tracker or a separate advertising cookie.
Retention and control
Logs are kept for a limited period
Visitor records are currently retained for 30 days and then removed automatically. Browser Do Not Track requests are respected when that option is enabled. The administrator can disable collection, mask or hash IP addresses, choose whether scanner or crawler activity is retained, and clear the full visitor log at any time.
Network screening
Why the connecting IP address is checked
Photo Edit Free accepts requests worldwide. The connecting IP address may be sent to proxycheck.io to detect VPN, proxy or Tor use and to return approximate location/network information for security review.
The detected country is informational only and does not determine whether a request is accepted. Automated network indicators can occasionally be wrong, particularly on mobile, workplace or shared connections, so an administrator can rerun or override a result.
What is stored
A limited screening record
The request may store the IP address, detected country, VPN/proxy/Tor flags, risk score, provider name, decision reason and any administrator override. This request-level screening record is deleted with the request. Separately, a minimal short-lived anti-abuse record keeps only the IP address, image count and submission time for up to 48 hours so the 8-images-per-IP limit cannot be bypassed by immediately deleting a request. Declined requests are automatically removed after 14 days unless deleted sooner.
Optional public gallery
Your images are not shared unless you actively opt in
The public before and after gallery is separate from the private editing service. A gallery item is created only when you check the optional gallery-permission box while submitting a review. You can still leave a public review without sharing any images.
Only selected before and completed copies are prepared for the gallery. The private status link, email address, request reference, instructions and other private files are never displayed with the gallery item.
Face privacy
Local editing plus a human check
The website prepares separate gallery copies and the administrator uses a built-in local editor to blur faces, reflections, vehicle registrations or other identifying details. Some browsers may provide local face detection, but it is only an aid.
No gallery item is published until the administrator personally inspects both copies and confirms they are suitable for public display.

Delete your request without waiting
Every private status page includes a deletion option. Before anything is removed, the confirmation page shows the exact categories of information and files connected to the request.

You must enter the matching reference and email address. Once confirmed, the private links stop working and the removed files cannot be restored through the website.

Payment and accounting records
If you purchase optional priority and later delete the request, the private images and customer request data are removed. Minimal payment references, amount, currency, status and Stripe identifiers may be retained where needed for accounting, fraud prevention, disputes, refunds or legal obligations. Stripe may also retain payment information under its own privacy policy.
Reviews
A review is separate from the private request and is stored only when you choose to submit it. An approved review may show the name, rating, title and wording you supplied, but never your email address, private link or request reference. Deleting the private request detaches the written review instead of removing it. You can contact the service separately if you also want the review hidden or deleted.
Gallery consent, withdrawal and deletion
Gallery permission is optional and is recorded separately from permission to publish the written review. A published gallery item links to its connected review. You may withdraw gallery permission by deleting the private request while it still exists, which removes the public gallery copies, or by asking the administrator to remove the gallery item. Removing a gallery item does not automatically remove the written review.
Remembering a verified email for returning customers
After you successfully submit a request, Photo Edit Free stores a minimal separate record containing the verified email address and verification/use dates. This allows the same address to skip repeated email verification on future requests. Normal automatic cleanup of the private request keeps this minimal record. If you use the self-service Delete my request/data option, the record is removed and the email address must be verified again if it is used later.
Customer chat
Customer chat stores your name, email address and conversation messages. A random private link lets you return to the chat. Chat records can be deleted by the administrator and are not published publicly.
Private links and security
Status, preview, download, deletion, review and chat pages use random private links and are excluded from search engines. Keep them private. Security controls reduce risk, but no online system can promise absolute security.
Backups and hosting logs
The live website removes expired or deleted records. Temporary copies may remain in encrypted or system-managed hosting backups until the provider’s normal backup cycle replaces them. Security logs may also retain technical information such as IP addresses for a limited period.
Your rights
You may contact the service to ask about access, correction or deletion of personal information. Some records may need to be retained where the law requires it or where they are needed to establish, exercise or defend legal claims.
Your responsibility when uploading
You must own the image or have permission to submit it. Do not upload confidential, illegal, unlawfully obtained or highly sensitive material such as passports, bank cards or medical records.
